Good Intentions

January. Long nights. Cold days. Introspection. Reflection. All this adds up to a renewing of ideals and recommitting to personal goals. Let it be known, that I intend to put aside my excuses of unorganized supplies and poor, overall, lighting and get back to the craft that brings me so much pleasure. With "Good Intentions" I am getting back into the groove with Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog, and its world class, master forgers.

January's kit to copy is from Hip Kit Club
December 2014 Main Kit
I really like the way Lesley presents her papers in Oh!Blog It! , comparing the original to her choice. Maybe you will like it this way too?

Amy Tangerine Stitched – Flora Paper

Amy Tangerine Stitched – Map of My Heart Paper
MME, Bohemia, Bella "The Little Moments" Light Blue / Creative Memories, Baby Boy
Photo colour is off. Actually a much closer match to the kit.
Amy Tangerine Stitched – Thrifted Paper
Although the kit paper would be fun and easy to counterfeit, I chose to pull in my "Lasagna" paper, made with the scraps of my Jan 2014 kit, "All is Bright" / Creative Memories, Rugged.
Pebbles – Happy Day – Sunday Paper Paper
October Afternoon, Night Light: Katie, side B on left, side A on right.
Heidi Swapp – September Skies – Aspen Paper
Glitz, Yours Truly, Motif side B / AC, Maggie Holmes, Style Board
Having zero hounds tooth in the paper hoard, I was delighted to find this horse print in a pad I bought on a trip, just after Christmas. It is an excellent stand in, especially if you squint when you look at it.

Heidi Swapp – September Skies – Afternoon Breeze Paper
These two are from MME, kate & co, 6x6 designer pad, "Cambridge Court"
The smaller scale will make an interesting challenge for me to incorporate them on 12x12 layouts.
Heidi Swapp – September Skies – Meadow Bloom Paper
Making Memories, Die cut scallop flower patch / Glitz, Yours Truly, Stripe

Then the fun stuff.
Amy Tangerine Stitched – Ephemera
A selection of "Breezy Badges" which are counterfeit Project Life 3x4 cards. Also a package of Fancy Pants, Collecting Moments, ephemera pack.

Then there is the add on Embellishment kit.
December 2015 Embellishment kit

Chevron washi tape, muk. Star sequins that were in a card that came from the lovely Lisa H. Plain die cut shapes, muk. Kaiser scrapbook, Droplets. Piercer and needle from CTMH to make embroidered alphas. And what's left from a set of transparent alphas, muk.
Having so much fun building this kit and planing how I am going to use it. Can't stop yet!
December 2014 Colour Kit

Going to use Versa Mark on some of those die cuts to make them colour resistant. Tattered Angels, Glimmer Mist, Vintage Pink. Adriondrak, Acrylic Paint Dabber, Aqua. And finally two sets of stamps from CTMH. Family Photo and Photogenic.
Normally my kits start with pulling the cardstock. This time, it is in a separate kit and the final part of my kit.
I found several single tone papers in my stash that matched perfectly. I will incorporate them and draw from the cardstock stash as needed.
A final look at the papers.

And everything together in a big, happy pile.
Good Intentions

So with good intentions I am back in the game. There is a three day crop at our church, next weekend. My fingers are itching to get back to cutting, inking, stamping, distressing, layering, clustering, piercing, piecing, embossing, etc. etc. that scrapbooking is made up of. Results will be posted, in about a week.

Thanks for viewing. Double thanks for comments.
