To Your Good Health!

The "kit to copy" this month  from Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog, is Studio Calico's Pop Art Kit.

My kit, "To Your Good Health!" begins with the patterned papers:
As You Wish, Imagination Project

Marbled Gray Vellum, World Win Papers

From a stack I dismantled long ago, and didn't keep the info

Forgery: Acrylic on pink paper

Studio Calico, Print Shop Stack and side B

Forgery: Gesso on orange paper

Crate Paper, Vellum with Gold Dots
For the Alphas I chose:
Basic Grey, Monogram Stickers, Granola
Studio Calico, Countryside Collection, Mud Pie
and the dredges from a Creative Memories sticker set.

I had to stretch a bit to find embllies that remind me of the ones in the kit.
For the rubber leaves (ferns), there are Basic Grey, Chip Stickers, Granola
For the Bright Transparent Die Cuts, I have added left over vellum shapes I punched out for the Messy Box a few months back.
Two Gold foil washi tapes, sub in nicely with dots, which just between you and me, I like so much better than the plus pattern that is currently trending.
I punched yellow tags with a Creative Memories punch. If I can find my Tim Holts tag circles, they will add a good finishing touch to the tags. Or maybe I can dig up some "old school" reinforcments.
I didn't have anything in the "puffy" category, but these plastic diamond gems have been in the stash for at least five years, and I don't think they have ever been used.

Then there were the stamps. I drew from several sets and ended up with:
No kitty cats in my collection, but I do have a cute sleepy owl from Bo Bunny.
The 2.5" x 3" frame is from Prima Marketing.
Three stars from Inque Boutique
and yes! I pulled in an alpha set to create the word of the original kit.

The cardstock was not included in this version. I have a selection at my desk, one offs and two offs, that I refer to at the start of any layout, with the goal to reduce the quantity of shades in the cardstock hoard collection.

All together the kit looks like this:

Thanks for stopping by. Double thanks for comments.

  1. Your kit is amazing, girlfriend! Was it easy or hard to put together? Glad to see you doing a little stash-busting this month, and some very successful forging to boot. Loved your sub of the gems for the puffy elements & your stamp set counterfeit was spot on. Applause!

    1. The challenge in assembling this collection was the vellum with gold dots. I bought it while on vay cay in July. I knew I had it. I knew I wanted it. But I couldn't find the "safe place" I had put it. Every day I tidied and organized a little bit more. Then, all of a sudden (two and a half weeks later) there is was, right where I had left it. The rest of the kit, all fell in place without any frustrations. I am quite delighted with this one.

  5. the forgeries are inspired and the kit is so very you. Close to the original but inspired and so well thought out. I tracked that vellum down in NYC when I was there last year and promptly bought 10 or even more sheets - isn't it wonderful?!? I think I still have one or two precious sheets left. :-(

I think you've done a great job - and I want to see creations now! :-)

    1. That amazing vellum was almost $4.00 per sheet! (plus 12% tax) I only allowed myself to buy one. I bet the price was much easier to swallow in the US.
